Color-blocking a New Trend in Home Decor

A current trend, color-blocking, which has been popular in the world of fashion, has transitioned into interior design.

As you can see with the fashion images below paired with the interior design photos, color-blocking can add zest to any wardrobe and do the same for your home.

If you are willing to try new trends, experiment with like-colored accessories or paint to energize your space. Work with two or three of your favorite colors and see where it takes you. Be careful not to go overboard with too many colors or it could turn into a design disaster.

Happy color-blocking! ~ Tamra

Wallpaper Decor

I LOVE that wallpaper is all back in style again. Here are a few of my favorites and some quirky choices:

Who can resist Damask wall coverings whether its curtains or wallpaper. Love this hot pink.

Monsoon Chrysanthemum as shown below, is very trendy

Any wallpaper with birds I adore

This turquoise figural motif paper is beautiful especially paired with vivid colors

Of course you can’t leave out the floral choices – these are my favs

Traditional and classic wallpapers are other options

I love the vintage options too

Contemporary and modern wallpaper has gained popularity with large graphics and bold colors

For the quirky and unusual, these wallpaper choices are splendid – from the Eiffel Tower to the newest wallpaper craze of bookshelves or magazines

And you can’t leave out the alphabet

Which will you choose? The choices are endless.
